A New Chapter in Spain

In the next three months, we will travel to Catalonia, the Basque Country, and Spain’s capital city of Madrid.

For the month of May, we are in Europe to visit our eldest daughter Claire in France, and to travel together in Portugal and Spain.

Puebla is located in the center of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, and is a good base for exploring the country’s highest mountains.

Puebla is the largest and best preserved baroque city in Mexico and the Western Hemisphere.

After a fun and interesting month in Oaxaca, we have proceeded to our new home of Puebla for the month of April.

For a little vacation within a vacation, we spent a week in Puerto Escondido on Oaxaca’s Pacific Coast.

I visited the small towns and villages that surround Oaxaca city to see their exceptional handicrafts.

I took a cooking class to gain a first-hand appreciation for the most famous and complex dish in the “Land of the Seven Moles”.

It is March, the Jacaranda are in bloom, and I am in Oaxaca.

To try to solve the Mayan mystery, we visited the three most popular ruins on the Yucatán Peninsula at Chichén Itzá, Uxmal, and Tulum.
